April showers

Spring still feels somewhat coiled at the minute
As the heaviness of winter is shed soggily from the sky,
But, at last, there’s now more light.
There is a bit more give in the transitional seasons.
Spring and autumn are softer than the other two
And don’t deal so much in absolutes.
I like their stretched shadows slung into the evenings
And I like the movement in them too.
With spring’s advancement there’s a future cast,
It’s the same again when autumn’s falling back.
The predictable in and out makes them feel like breathing.
Neither one can make a solid meteorological decision.
Well, I can relate to that.
I’m not good at decisions either,
But I can wear layers and pack a brolly in my bag.
